Bella Bella

I just missed Sue's update, but she left me a short voice mail. They are currently in New Bella Bella. They made the distance from Butedale to New Bella Bella in two long days. She said the conditions were good so they just put in the miles. They're tired but feeling good.

Bella Bella is home of the Heiltsuk First nations people, the largest community, about 1,500 individuals between Prince Rupert and Powell River.

Robin figures they are about two days away from the start to Cape Caution. They still don't know if they will make the crossing through Gods Pocket and on to Pt Hardy or stay on the BC mainland side and work their way through the Broughton Archipelago.

By my calculations, they've rowed about 236 miles, so far. Not quite 1/3 of the way.
