Yuculta Rapids

Earlier this afternoon I received a very garbled and short call from Sue. They made it to just south of Minstrel Island yesterday.

Today was another long day for the ladies, as they made it through the Greene Point rapids, first of the three tidal rapids and were waiting to row through Yuculta Rapids. (pronounced yew-caw-taw) At full flood, these rapids can exceed 11 knots and have standing waves.

At this rate, they'll be eating that cheese burger in Desolation Sound at Refuge Cove tomorrow.
