Sue left me two voice mail messages yesterday, one from their sat phone and one from her cell. Apparently they made it through Yuculta without incident and then proceeded to row straight through Desolation Sound, forgoing Cheeseburgers and were aiming for the Copeland Islands just north
of Lund BC. At this pace, weather permitting, they will make Power River today, and possibly make the crossing of Malaspina Strait over to Texada Island, the first hop on their way to Nanaimo. They could reach Nanaimo by the end of this weekend.
Both of Sues message were cut off so I only heard a few details. Apparently since they really left the wilderness behind them north of Queen Charlotte Strait, the draw of home is getting stronger. They seem to have picked up the pace and have changed their final destination to Anacortes, so Robin can get back to work.
